Philosophy

My job as a massage therapist is to ease the tensions and break up adhesions in imbalanced muscles and connective tissue so that the body can get back to a balanced state that is free from injury and pain as quickly as possible. One of the ways to address this, is a deep-tissue massage session that can result in a minor discomfort the next day.

 

Sport Massage therapy can increase performance in so many different ways, included but not limited to the ability to remove adhesions and scar tissue. These issues inhibit the percentage of muscle fibers firing at any given moment. Sports Massage offers an immediate and observable increase in speed, strength, and mobility, this directly translates to performance both during training and competition. 

 

Massage therapy or massage for general health exhibits deep healing effects. It influences dopamine and serotonin levels and regulation. It also increases blood flow to muscle and organ tissues in the body – including the brain – and overall energy increase and a better outlook on life in general. 
 

The range of therapeutic benefits and scope of practice properly applied, intelligent and well-trained hands on manual therapy simply cannot be overstated. It can and should be a part of everyday life.
